SEXOLOGICAL BODYWORK
Sexological Bodywork is a holistic approach to sexual education and therapy that incorporates bodywork, talk therapy, and coaching techniques to help individuals and couples improve their sexual well-being, self-awareness, and pleasure.
The goal of Sexological Bodywork is to help people overcome any emotional, physical, or spiritual blocks that may be limiting their sexual experiences and to explore their sexuality in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
Sexological Bodyworkers are trained to use a variety of techniques to help clients explore their sexuality, including breathwork, touch, movement, and communication exercises. Through these techniques, Sexological Bodyworkers help clients to develop greater body awareness, to recognize and express their desires and boundaries, and to improve their overall sexual health and satisfaction.
It’s important to note that Sexological Bodywork is not the same as erotic massage and practitioners must adhere to strict ethical guidelines and professional standards. Sexological Bodywork is a therapeutic modality that is recognized by the Association of Somatic and Integrative Sexologists (ASIS).

SOMATIC SEX EDUCATION
Somatic sex education is an approach to sex education that emphasizes experiential learning, embodied awareness, and holistic understanding of sexuality. The term “somatic” refers to the body, and somatic sex education recognizes that sexuality is a physical as well as a psychological and social experience.
Somatic sex education aims to help individuals develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of their bodies, desires, and sexual responses. This may involve learning about anatomy and sexual health, exploring personal values and beliefs about sex, and practicing communication and consent skills. Somatic sex education also often involves experiential exercises, such as breathwork, touch, and movement, to help individuals connect with their bodies and emotions in a more embodied and authentic way.
Unlike traditional sex education, which often focuses on reproductive biology and disease prevention, somatic sex education places a greater emphasis on pleasure, intimacy, and connection.
Somatic sex educators may work with individuals or groups, and may specialize in working with specific populations or issues, such as trauma or sexual dysfunction.
Somatic sex education is often used as a complement to therapy or other forms of healing work, and can be beneficial for individuals seeking to overcome shame, trauma, or other barriers to sexual expression and enjoyment. It is also increasingly recognized as an important component of sexual health and wellness, and has been integrated into a variety of educational and therapeutic settings.
